I'll start this off by saying I'm not a big fan of conventional blogs. But when you have something to say, I hear it helps your cause to act like you're worth listening to. I generally only use liquid laundry detergent, and I decided recently that I actually need a soap box, and that's where this comes in.
I have an opinion, a law degree, and the desire to argue in the court of public opinion about why the exploitative model currently in use by health insurance companies is inhumane, illegal, and unsustainable. My postings will consist of my thoughts on current events, flashbacks to my experiences as a sick kid, drafts of new research into the state of things, and links to relevant things going on around the intertubes. I may occasionally side track into posts about bar exams, and maybe even things that make me happy (note the lack of overlap between those two categories). In the end though, I'm writing for those who don't always have the energy to say something, and advocating for those who have a hard time advocating for themselves. I'm going to leave this world better than I found it. As far as I'm concerned, I was given a second chance for a reason.
Enjoy the ride, kiddos. Here's to being the pre-existing condition of the Insurance Industry.
